A newborn session in Sacramento

One of my favorite sayings is “Have camera. Will travel.”  As my kids are getting older, the thought of traveling more to shoot weddings and portrait sessions becomes really appealing… as long as it’s somewhere Southwest Airlines flies so I can use my airmiles.  It was super nice of my friends to schedule the birth of their son right before my trip to Sacramento so I could shoot his newborn session.  How cool that I got to see them, their daughter, and their new little boy!  Best job ever!

This sweet baby hit the jackpot being born into this family.  He has a big sister that loves him to bits and is ready to teach him all about the important things of life!

And of course his mom and dad are pretty awesome people too…

He was such an easy going baby through his session and we even had time to get some more “posed” photos.  Mom and Dad had a selection of props ready to go, which was handy considering I traveled there via airplane and didn’t have a ton of room in my luggage for props!
