Last week I was able to do some portraits for a very special newborn session. While still in her mothers tummy, this sweet little girl’s father was diagnosed with leukemia. And just 12 days before she was born, he passed away. Before our session, I asked her Mommy if there was any special way we could include memories of her daddy in the photos. So she let me use the very same cradle that he slept in when he was a baby!
Her Daddy was also active in the Air Force and National Guard… so we dug out one of his military jackets.
And of course during this newborn session, we captured some sweet moments of this baby girl by herself. She was so easy going and mellow, and probably one of the easiest newborns I’ve ever photographed.
I loved seeing firsthand that this family is being cared for so well by their friends and relatives. If you would like to help this family with their expenses, please donate through their GoFundMe page here: http://www.gofundme.com/Crittendon
