I’m really passionate about photographing families. I know how much energy, time and investment goes into getting your family photos and I really want my clients to have good images. So when this amazing mother asked me if I was up to the challenge of photographing her SIX active kiddos, I promised that I would get her a great family photo even if I had to do a composite image. Well… I did it! And yes, there were a handful of “head swaps” in the bunch.
We met at Bush’s Pasture Park in Salem. I haven’t shot much in Salem, and I always love trying out new places. Well this park was a winner… it’s so beautiful! Interestingly enough Bush’s Pasture Park is also quite well known for an ill-tempered owl that likes to swoop down and attack people. In fact, this particular owl has been so consistent in its attacks, that there’s a sign warning trail users to be cautious!
These parents are amazing. Seriously… they are such a great example of parenting with love and patience and grace. They inspired me to step up my own parenting game.
It’s also happened to be mom and dad’s wedding anniversary, so we made sure to get some shots of just the two of them. Aren’t they adorable?
Special thanks to this family for making time in busy schedules to spend a chilly morning with me! It was such a pleasure hanging out with you all!
I love exploring new areas also. These are so lovely. What an incredible family. Those kiddos are so cute. Great job Amy, these photos will be cherished by this family forever!
Great job, Amy! As a child photographer, I know how challenging it can be to document a large group of kiddos and capture some great frame-able shots. What a beautiful family. Also, glad to hear y’all weren’t victim to the angry owls. 😉
