Brigit is an amazing person… smart and strong and fit and beautiful and kind and creative. And then she met Jason, who matches her equally in his own intelligence and strength and creativity and kindness. These two are meant to be together. So when she asked me as a friend if I had any recommendations for photographers to shoot their wedding at Gold Hill Gardens in California, I mentioned that I travel! This is one of those times when my personal and professional life intermix, and I am so grateful that I got to be present for this special wedding day. And let me tell you… Brigit was absolutely beautiful!
Brigit mentioned to me that one of her favorite moments of the day was their “first look”. Jason got a little emotional when he saw his bride for the first time. It was such a perfect moment, and even I may have got a little teary.
The details for their day were a combination of grey and purple, with wood and wildflowers. Brigit’s friends Kim and Gabi did an outstanding job with the decorating and wedding coordination! And it just happened to be an overcast day, which always gives us greater flexibility with the photography!
After the bulk of the photos were complete, it was off to the ceremony which took place under a beautiful old tree!
Then it was off to the reception… including dinner, toasts, and first dances.
Special thanks to Mike with Gold Hill Gardens and Chris with The Wedding DJ to facilitate us sneaking out of the reception during sunset. Despite a grey overcast day, the sky was beautiful at sunset! And Mike even called the cattle herd in for a photoshoot!
The evening was capped off with dessert and dancing! What a fabulous event and celebration of the joining of Brigit and Jason’s families! Thank you both for choosing me to capture these precious memories for you. It was an honor to be there for your wedding day!
