I had a great time photographing my latest fall mini-sessions in Sacramento. As I was planning them, I had a little problem though. Some of the families that wanted to book have had their photos taken by me every year for the last seven years. This means they have had pictures done at most of my “usual” locations. So I had to come up with a new spot. This is hard considering I don’t live in Sacramento anymore and scouting ahead of time is not feasible. That’s when a good friend recommended shooting at the Lions Gate Hotel on McClellan Airforce Base. This place was a little gem, with tree-lined boulevards and cool old buildings. The staff was also extremely accommodating and welcoming, and I was very grateful for their help. So “thank you” to the awesome folks over at the Lions Gate Hotel!
